Level 1 Listening
- Listening for the sake of self
- What does this mean to me about me?
- Connecting what the speaker is saying to our personal experience
Level 2 Listening
- Listening for the sake of others
- What does this mean to them about them?
- Listening to the words they are saying
Level 3 Listening
- Listening beyond the words to how they’re affected
- Noticing non-verbal cues – body language, tone of voice, pace of speech, breath rate, emotions, energy, posture, themes and patterns, what’s not being said
